Veronica Gerber Bicecci

(b. 1981, Mexico City)

The works of Verónica Gerber Bicecci explore the intersection of visual arts and writing. Recent books include M udanza [ M oving Out] (2010) and Empty Set (2015). Her projects that straddle art and literature have been exhibited at the Art Association (Jackson Hole), Museo Amparo (Puebla), and Casa Taller José Clemente Orozco (Guadalajara). She has participated in several interdisciplinary residencies across the world—e.g. with Ucross Foundation (Clearmont, WY), Zentrum Paul Klee (Bern, Switzerland), and Santa Maddalena (Donnini, Italy). Additionally, Gerber Bicecci is editor at the cooperative Tumbona Ediciones, whose catalog explores the crosses between literature and art, and tutor in the photography at Centro de la Imagen. She holds degrees from La Esmeralda: Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (ENPEG) and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
