Ivan Krassoeivitch

(b. 1980, Mexico City)

Inspired by the anecdotal and autobiographical, the works of Ivan Krassoievitch appropriate images and objects in ways that draw attention to the role of chance and absurdity in everyday life. Recent solo exhibitions include shows with CAPC Musée d’art contemporaine (Bordeaux), Galería Machete (Mexico City), and Garash Galería (Mexico City), as well as a permanent sculpture installed at Casa del Lago. His work has also been exhibited in group shows with Pr oyecto Paralelo (Mexico City) Museo de Arte Moderno (Mexico City), and Fundación Calosa, (Irapuato). He has had residences with Bosco Sodi’s Casa Wabi (Oaxaca) and with CAPC Musée d’art contemporaine (Bordeaux). Krassoievitch holds degrees in industrial design from U.A.M Xochimilco and in education from SOMA.
